Hi I’m Katie…

I’m a twenty-something year old portrait artist and illustrator from Northumberland, UK.

I “graduated” (thanks covid) from Teesside University in 2020 from the BA Comics, Graphic Novels, and Sequential Art course with a First. I draw and paint realistic portraits, (with acrylic, watercolour, pencil, digitally, etc, etc) and I illustrate cartoony anything. I still haven’t found my “thing” yet, but I can a bunch of different materials reasonably well- if you check out my portfolio you’ll see what I mean.

My committment to a “style” is sorely lacking, however I do have a jack-of-all-trades kind of vibe, so I’ll be honest, you won’t be getting someone who is the absolute best, but I’ll still do a great job.

I love computers and making digital art, so I can use Photoshop, Clip Studio, InDesign, Illustrator, and Corel fairly easily. My current job is working as a Digital Marketing Apprentice, which envolves a surprising amount of graphic design and photoshopping stuff. I’ll probably write a blog about it sometime, some of it is pretty eye-opening to be honest.

As for some personal stuff, I have a pet dog called Flynn and a pet cornsnake called Fang. I own a small selection of large plushies, I can kind of play the ukuele, and I’m pretty good at crafting things.
